Staying in Halibut Cove

From Anchorage, Homer is a 40 minute flight or a 4.5 hour scenic drive south through the Kenai Peninsula. 

 

Once in Homer,  on the Homer Spit, you can arrange a water taxi to bring you from the harbor to our beach. You get to enjoy a scenic 20 minute boat ride over to the cabins with a chance to see whales, otters, seals, and birds.

There are no grocery stores in Halibut Cove and so all of your food and beverages must be purchased in Homer and brought to the Cove with you.

Alaska Shellfish Farms is located on the backside of the Cove. You can stock up on their oysters and mussels at the Oyster Co-Op on the Homer spit on your way to the Cove, or you can kayak over to their Oyster Boat for self-service any time!
